This bathroom was in dire need of some attention and with a laundry list a mile long of things to repair, the task seemed pretty monumental for the owners of this Oklahoma bathroom. There might have been windows to replace, holes in the ceiling and floors to be installed, but when all when the dust finally settled, the results are simply stunning. See a bit of their transformation and the end result, after the jump!
Flickr member amy_b did a great job of photographing the different steps to their bathroom remodel along the way. Make sure to check out her full bathroom remodel set and see walls coming down, tile going in and more!
We love the clean lines coupled with the dark tile and bright paint! What was a barely functioning space is now an oasis and a real place of peace. It just goes to show what you can accomplish when you take things one day at a time and go step by step. Even though there was a great deal of work that happened in this bathroom, when tackled one piece at a time, it all gets done eventually!
Thanks amy_b!

LOVE THIS! It is so nice to see a bright color in a bathroom instead of a bland "spa" look. I think color in a bathroom is so invigorating....
lovely lovely!!!
Wow. Nice job. I'm wondering how long this took you and if you hired out the labor or did it yourself.
Also, that before picture is like a brighter, more cheerful version of my bathroom. Ceiling hole and all. So, yeah, I'm gonna start working on it soon.
Absolutely beautiful!!
yikes, I just can't get past that green...your skin would look sickly reflected in the mirror.

In the first picture, it looks like the pug just did his business on that bath mat. My pug kicks his back legs after a transaction and he looks just like that.
Off topic, I know.
Cool bathroom.
love it... wish the doggie was in the finished pic!
i agree, i cannot get past the green on the walls either. i would go for more of a natural color, especially with a smaller bathroom.
This is a million times better.
Lovely shades of green here! Love the shower tile!
Great color! I love a bright happy bathroom.
Love the reno but wow - color! I wonder if it would be less shocking with white moldings...
What size is that flooring?? Looks like 6*6 slate?? Very cool.
Green in the bathroom also depends on whether it suits you or not - I have a green bathroom and when showing it to my cousin noticed that while I looked fine in the bathroom mirror, she looked seasick. Seems to have to do with the fact that I can wear green as a colour, and she can't. So no general judgements, please :)
Nice upgrade! I've been on a black and green kick lately (especially after the bedroom featured in one of the recent house tours). I dig it.
I love the green! I do wonder how it would reflect of your skin in the mirror though. But nonetheless, I love it.
I love the balance of new and old. Although the color is bold its nice to see the inspiration for the "after" coming from the color of the "before".
Nice renovation.
Nice job, but I agree -- I would never be able to live with the green. I don't think it works with the blue. (Not my house, though, so only vaguely of interest!)
I'm not in love with the green either, but wow, what a transformation you've made with those tiles! (Both the floor and wall tiles are gorgeous) And no one has even mentioned the difference in the vanity! Well done!!
Thanks for the kind words, all.
We had an awesome contractor. We think it took about 7 days. I picked out all the stuff, including the green paint, which was inspired by the color of Jadeite dishes. I look stunning in the green glow, fwiw. The recycled glass tile was found at the Habitat for Humanity ReStore at a deep discount.
P.S. Stanley the Chug (seen in the before shot) did not poop on the rug.
Envy the shower and floor tiles very much! Looks great.
Pairing that shade of green with blue and white was a gutsy move. And it paid off - it's really striking. I also think it was brilliant to bring the bright, "risky" color in via wall paint, while keeping the floor, tile and fixtures all more traditional. If she tires of the green, or they decide to sell, a paint job is all it will take. Smart!
I don't like the green color (not a fan of green, but you live there, not me!) but I do like the crisp new look! I'd like to see more shots of the vanity. Where is the vanity from?
I don't get the green in a bathroom or anywhere else.
Looking back at the pictures, the green comes off a lot more "acidic" than it really is. Also, the shower tile and floor tile are slate gray colors, rather than blue.
I got the vanity somewhere online that I can't remember right now.
i love it!
What a fantastic redo! So glad to hear you getting supplies from Habitat, they are such a wonderful place for resources like this. Almost everything in my kitchen makeover came from there!
I love colors too, and I love this green color in general, but I don't feel that it works well with the dark slate tile.
