Sometimes it's as simple as a can of spray paint and a few new cushions. Jessica (of Noël Marie) needed a quick an easy update for her pad's recent House Tour so she incorporated items she already owned and got to work...
The table and chairs are the same but adding a bright colored rug while incorporating summer flowers really makes a huge difference.
Replacing pillows with striped cushions and applying lime green spray paint reveals an instant makeover. Nothing reads summer more than the addition of a patio hammock (swoon).

I'm really loving the porches and outdoor spaces lately on AT. The green chairs and macramed (sp?) swing look so comfortable. The table and colorful chairs are great, also. Looks like a wonderful place to hang out. I wish I had a porch.... 'sniff'....:)
Once again, a little spray paint and a few plants goes a long, long way. Seriously, it looks great! Hey, is that bamboo rug from World Market? I think I may have admired that there not so long ago...
where can I purchase that hammock? I love it!!!!
I found the hammock... soon to be ordered :)
This looks great. I especially like the rug and hammock.
I notice her wicker chairs now match the house next door........that's actually a great idea because it makes her own porch look bigger.
Thanks for the comments.
Bamboo rug is from Pier 1 (I know, but whatever it works) and the hammock is from Target.
Jess is so talented. You should check out her great new website!
Very nicely done. My favorite has to be that beautiful pot of flowers near the table and chairs.
This looks great! Nice job, and it probably didn't break the bank, either. Smart choices nice restraint!
yes! was the wicker chair color a conscience decision to use house color next door? Its smart to use it instead of compete with it.
I didn't really notice the color until I had one chair painted and then I realized it. I thought it made my space seem bigger so I rolled with it.
And no, it didn't break the bank. I like trying to make what I already have work somehow and then add small extra touches.
Nice!
The before wasn't bad either.
Great Job! I want to relax on your porch with a glass of iced tea. Off the subject a little bit... do you find the Target hammock to be sturdy? The reviews weren't great...most people said that they unraveled from the top and that they sagged rather quickly. Thanks
