We know that Eddie is killer creative and technically savvy with before & afters, and here's yet another great example. These Salvation Army chairs truly were salvaged with a little vision, some great colors, and strong patterns:
Eddie opted for two types of fabric: one bold floral and a contrasting (but matching) graphic print. Read more about the full process and his fabric shopping adventure at Calico Corners here.

wow the metal held up really well. I'm jealous. Nice find!

Nice chair find but his style screams Martha and I find it boring.

No more dated and contrived than "Greatest Hits of MCM"...
I applaud his ability to see beyond the tattered and worn surface to reuse, update and make something unique.
I like the graphic pattern on the chair but it doesn't work with what is going on in the room. There's too much going on. And it looks like he's trying way too hard to match his colors. It looks forced.
if you don't have something nice to say then....
reupholster a chair.... brilliant! Any other tips?
If your clothes get dirty... wash them?
If your thirsty... get a drink and drink it?
Should have chosen the chairs to their right instead!
i like that he took what looks to me like boring , mass produced, office type furniture and made it kind of glamorous. i can't believe i used the 'g' word.
i think the point was to give another example of how you can take the mundane and make it beautiful and unique.
regarding the martha comment, maybe his aesthetic is the 'martha' aesthetic and not the other way around. hmmmmm. do you really think that child designs all of her own stuff?
How can one possibly rip off Adler? Everything Adler does is a rip off....imho.
Even if it is not your style, that is a big improvement. I like really modern stuff, but that still looks great. Good job!
Maybe a turquoise or burgundy vinyl instead of the granny prints.
Ugh why do I continue to read AT comments, I've never come across so many people that bitch and gripe and moan as the people on here.
