When Ashley Paramor of Nesting Sticks was preparing the nursery for her second child, she decided to use bold colors and create a statement wall. She took the mild periwinkle walls and turned them into a mossy green, in the process creating a stunning plaid wall.

Ashley chose the exotic-sounding "Serengeti Plains" paint color as the main shade, but on one wall (against which an IKEA Leksvik crib will stand) she created a plaid pattern by taping off sections and painting them with contrasting brown and orange. The result is a unique, striking wall that's sure to be the standout of the room.
While plaid's been on the radar in home decor for a while, do you think it works well in a child's room? How about on the wall? Let us know in the comments.

I like it! Does remind me of scotch tape...but that's ok :)
Well, since you *asked*... Nursery-aged kids obviously have no say in the matter, so if the parent/caretaker can deal with the loud statement of a plaid wall, it may be good visual stimulation for an infant. Elsewhere besides the wall? Yes, plaid is ordered, but friendly. Good for a child or adult.
My daughter loves blue plaid and I would love to paint her room similar to this.
I like it too! I would love to see this nursery with all the finishing touches too!
Not my style. I think I would get bored with it quickly but I admire the work that went into it and SO WELL DONE.
