After deciding to homeschool her son, Barbara, being the crafty mom that she is, started thinking about the space she would set up, and how to make it colorful and vibrant. This included the desk and chair little Chase would sit at every day.
Barbara had found a table and a chair in the free section of Craigslist and set out to give them a major makeover. All this with the spirit of using mostly what she had in her craft closet.
After sanding both items, painting and staining, distressing and customizing them, she had spent $4 total on the project.

The colors certainly are charming, and $4! great job.
From a practical standpoint, how can one write or draw on that desk top? It seems far too bumpy unless you place a flat mat on top. Just curious.
I would have painted the top of the table with chalk board paint and added pegs to the sides of the table to hang bags of colorful chalk. Nice job though.
