When you see a piece of scrap wood, what do you imagine it could be transformed into? A recent grad student was in need of the perfect dining table, so when she got a hold of some scrap wood and a salvaged door, she as they say, turned lemons into lemonade (all for only $150!).
With the help of her self-taught carpenter father, Sarah created this amazingly beautiful herringbone dining table. The duo cranked out this project with a low budget of only $150 and a short time frame of two weekends. They made it work by using free, found wood scraps, a salvaged oak door and inexpensive oak plywood.
