I love this bold nursery for a little boy — it's striking yet cozy and comfortable. Come see how these taped-off stripes turned out…

The combinations of gray and navy are just the right amount of subdued to make these bold wall stripes work! The result is a room that is playful without being busy, and so much fun!

Is that where you put curtain rods when there's nothing framing the windows? Looks good.
Okay, AT. This is the third blank-room-turned-into-nursery that I've seen in "Before & After"...today! B&A is my favorite AT "department" so I was really excited a couple of weeks ago when it looked as if the number of posts per day was going from less than 1 to at least 4. But really. These are not true B&A posts.
As I remarked on yesterday's B&A nearly-blank-room-turned-into-little-girl's-room, please put such photos where they belong: under Rooms and/or Family!
Don't get me wrong, its a really nice nursery, but it is not exactly original.I feel like I have seen the blue/gray stripped nursery pretty much everywhere.
I dig all the stripes - fun!
Why do you feel that bold stripes are only for a boy's room?
I think it looks beautiful!
Being that I am from earthquake country, the crib under the window concerns me.
Wow. I wish I had the patience to do something like that. I feel heroic when I just slap up one color.
Beautiful room. But is it me or do you have blue hair?
Yes, he has blue hair - along with a great deal of patience. I think I understand how the painting is accomplished so that it doesnt leak under the tape, but what I don't understand is how people (no matter what color their hair is) get the tape to be level. How did Mr Hubbell do such a good job with that?
You've created a visually appealing and great functioning room for a child. Love that the BEFORE windows, which were nondescript, have turned into the AFTER windows with the excellent drapery framing!
The room looks awesome! I recently did a vertical stripes for a boy's room. My goal was to bring in colors that go with everything. Also, the kid was so excited. he walked in and said, "My woom wooks so gweat!"
