We've taken a look at Meredith and Stephen's home before when we featured their kitchen rehab. Now we're back to peak into another room. As you can see from this before photo, this little dining room is utterly lacking in charm. Well, it was …

Now the room has been transformed from bland and dated to charming and modern! I think the pops of color, from the new light fixture and the curtains, add a wonderful touch of boldness without the room being totally in-your-face.
Meredith and Stephen blog about all of their home remodeling adventures over at Welcome to Heardmont. And by blog, I mean they give the most amazing tutorials, from patching drywall to cutting out entire walls, this couple can be trusted to share all the details of their renovations. I mean, just look at the photo below, detailed with all the changes made to the dining room. Love it!

Nomade Express Slee...
Those curtains are really great. I really need to learn how to make a pair myself.
Oh Yeah
Not really my taste, but nice.
The curtains are pretty, but I'm a little underwhelmed.
I love the light and curtains. Maybe add a buffet to create a more finished looking room?
I love the orange light...
Scraping off the popcorn ceiling was key. Great orange lamp.
Love everything except that wall color?
Wow! DIY done right. Delicious! Congratulations!!!
Love the hanging light.
Before & after would mean so much more if both pictures are taken from the same viewpoint. Good job, though.
So much better!
Enjoy.
The colors in that room are not on speaking terms (wall color???). The visual transitions are too abrupt for my taste.
I would ad a buffet or cabinet. The curtain length is awesome. Good ideas on their blog, too.
Thanks for sharing our dining room makeover, Jason!
Every choice in this room is so random - Have they never heard of a color scheme?
The wall art could use a heavier frame to balance the wood dining table, I just love your color scheme.
