I have to say that the vision and transformation that has occurred here is quite astonishing. This small, dark, and awkward space that was previously used as a bedroom has become a bright, airy, and inspired dining room that I wouldn't mind calling home.

Sibylle, over at funkytime, and a few of her friends went to town on this project to create something out of nothing. They began this transformation with some new fresh paint, taking out a window for a glass and bottle display, and adding a gorgeous mirror; the room was already coming alive. Then they added the diy vintage pulley chandelier, a new dining table, extra seating stored on the walls, and a few great details. This modern, rustic black and white dining room is a huge success. Great job Sibylle, and thanks for the inspiration.

White Enamel Four-P...
I like it a lot! I like the chairs on the wall.
All the details look great! Good job!
love it!!!
wow!
I love it! It's modern yet homey at the same time!
love the 'glass' chandelier.
what a nice surpise! Thank you Alysha and everbody else for the nice feedback!
What a great transformation! Thanks for sharing!
love this!
love everything about it, especially the chandelier.
WHOA! Awesome...
Nice!
Anything would constitute an improvement over the "before" but great use of space. Well done!
That bedroom looked depressing and this dining room is fan-tabulous! Yeah!
Did I not JUST see this a few months ago?
Yes, Ban Clothing, I think you did.
I can hardly believe it's the same room!
Great transformation. That said, what's up with before pictures that look like that? Yes it makes a great "reveal", but it also says to me "Hey, don't let the staged after photo fool you, this is how I really live".
Looks great, but id need that table to extend to fit my family.
I love the chairs on the wall, too!
I think it looks great!
If you click over to the site, it says that the "before" pictures were taken while the previous tenants still lived there.
I think I'd rather look at staged pictures anyway--who wants to see how people really live?
Thanks alahoop ;-)
It's gorgeous. A great idea for small apartments with side balconies (I don't know about US but in India, apartment dwellers often use aluminum walls and windows to carve out extra living space from balconies)
That's a really lovely little dining room!
A table with a rounded corner would better suit that space given the knocks that'll inevitably occur at dinner parties in that little space.
Anything would have been an improvement, but that really is adorable!
I actually clasped my hand over my heart and said "awwww it's perfect!" when I saw this picture. I love it!!!!
I love the idea of butting a table up against the wall for everyday. We do the same at our house, functional and casual. Beauts!
So lovely! I pitched the "chair on the wall" idea for a client but they went with another plan. Filing it away, especially now that I see how awesome it looks in person. Kudos!
Holy crap wow.
I love the chairs on the wall, too! :D
Congrats, this place is so peacefull and beautiful.
Really cute use of a too-teeny space.
So so so so pretty! And the scale is totally deceptive, you almost wouldn't know the room is so mini.
I don't think it's possible to use the 2 chairs on the wall, there wouldn't be room to push your chair back to get up from the table.
TEENY CUTE!
