We have highlighted Yoannah's creativity before (Yoannah's Inspirational Bedroom Makeover and Yoannah's Bedroom Update) — her gold puzzle pieces remain one of the most unique art installations we've seen grace the walls of any bedroom. Unafraid to take chances, Yoannah specializes in large-scale art that truly personalizes her space. As her master bedroom evolves, we are delighted she continues to share her updates with the community.
As if the purple walls and red accents didn't give this room enough pizzazz, Yoannah has really upped the wow factor by creating a magnificent and one of kind mural on the wall next to her vanity table. Using a projector to cast the image on the wall, she meticulously traced the shadowed areas to create her pattern. Filling in the outline took hours of painstaking work to stay inside the lines and achieve the necessary depth of color and coverage. The final result is a dramatic one of a kind piece that anchors that corner of the bedroom.
I love the contrast between the small black and white photos on the left and the large graffic image on the right. The decision to switch the original curtains for these bolder panels and to relocate the bright red chair from the bedside to the vanity helps to pull the whole space together and lends a more curated feel to the room. Thanks again Yoannah for sharing your creative master bedroom with us all!

Shaw's Original Fir...
I loved her bedroom redo with the gold, and I am wowed at how well this mural turned out, but.... that looks like Eminem :-S
So how should one go about in creating a mural if a projector isn't available?
Beautiful! I love these colors together too. I really am a fan of this bold look. Well-done, Yoannah!
Thank you! it's such a treat to be featured here and hear praise from fellow decor-lovers.
mjr - I can't see Eminem in it all! The image is created from a photo I took of my best girl-friend.
msleo1977 - I am a teacher, so I borrowed the projector from my classroom. Do you have an access to anyone working in a school that could help you?
I can't imagine creating this kind of image free hand.
WOW it is so awesome to see such a gorgeous transformation with just a few minor tweaks. I have saved the after picture for inspiration in my own home. I love the idea of having a silhouette type mural to act as a dramatic art piece!
I'm sorry if my comment came across as mean:-( but again, the technique is amazing!
