Megan was tired of her kitchen, and after gathering inspiration, began a slowly-but-surely remodel, tackling projects on the weekends. It took six months, but she's pretty thrilled with the results:

From Megan:

After pouring over hundreds of AT house tours and photos on Pinterest, I just couldn't take my kitchen anymore! The wall of cabinets storing unused dishes just had to come down. Why do I have all these dishes anyway? Because I have cabinets to store them? Not anymore!!! Love, love, love my new kitchen.

This project started in January and ended in June. Slowly but surely, one step at a time, every weekend. I learned how to paint my upper cabinets using The Critter (check it on amazon.com) and Advance Paint by Benjamin Moore (Amazing! - sand in between coats, the results are unbelievable!) I tiled the entire backsplash, bought the shelving brackets from an awesome guy on Etsy (BlueRidgeMetalWorks), and used gel stain on the shelves after having them planed down to an inch and 1/8. Call me crazy, but that seemed like the right size.

We are loving our new kitchen. Thanks for the inspiration, AT!

Thank you Megan!
