Heather called the previous hallway in her Victorian UK home, "uninspiring." But after a spruce-up, this space is no longer "grubby and old." Just wait until you see the dramatic difference.

Lovely! What a calm and classic space. She replaced the floor with grey limestone tiles and chose Farrow & Ball's Cornforth white for the walls and a dramtic Flos Smithfield chandelier. And she even used a clever designer trick on that pitch-perfect stair runner.
Heather says:
We added a grey runner up the stairs which we had edged in black - an inexpensive way to add impact to a stair runner - it cost £40 extra. It is lovely to open the door into a calming space when you return home from a hectic day, and the floor is much more practical now it's not cream…no more muddy dog paw prints!

Here's Heather's professional website.

Thank you Heather!
