In a comment on yesterday's Farmhouse Kitchen Style post, a reader shared the link to this gorgeous kitchen renovation from the cleverly named blog Bungalow Bungahigh. This kitchen's a perfect example of using thoughtful details to create the feel of a farmhouse kitchen at home.
We love the vintage-style Schoolhouse Electric light fixtures; the café curtains, which feel a little bit "country" but are graphic enough not to read as cutesy or overly sweet; and the beautiful butcher block counter. So many renovated kitchens have a cookie-cutter look, but this one has so many nice personal touches.
Mason jars on the windowsill contribute to the farmhouse aesthetic, and the red stepstool is a nice pop of color. Sleek industrial-style shelving adds a bit of a modern edge.
What a fabulous bungalow-farmhouse hybrid! Check out Bungalow Bungahigh for more images and inspiration.
