This curbside find wasn’t as pitiful looking as the majority of the items Landon has hauled home, but hiding under that chipping paint was a major treasure just waiting to be unearthed.
We can't believe those gorgeous details were hiding under all that paint!
Since the paint on the drawers was in good shape, I left those robin’s egg blue. I removed the hardware and soaked it in soapy, warm water to remove the paint. Then, I sanded the paint from the body of the nightstand and repainted it in glossy black. After being restored to its original brass finish, the hardware was reattached. The drawers were put back in place. Since I already had the black paint, this project cost $0 out of pocket.
