Dark and old, this TV tray was less than inspiring, but DeaAnna saw potential in it, and bought it for only $8. It was a small afternoon project with only a few materials, but the result is impressive and affordable!
Who doesn't love a great garage sale? It's one of my guilty pleasures, so when I came across this TV tray at my neighbor's house for $8, I snatched it up with visions of greatness (lofty, I know).
So I wiped it down, and mixed up my own blend of chalk paint (for $10) and gave this tray 2 coats of a lively green color. I wanted to add some detail to the tray portion, so I found some great little brass corners on Etsy for $3, and gave this tray a campaign style look and feel.
It was an easy afternoon project (minus waiting for my brass corners to arrive). But for only $21 and a little sweat equity, it turned into a great side table for our home.
Thank you DeaAnna! See more on DeaAnna's blog post.
