Why only tackle one DIY project at a time, when you can tackle two that combine to create one sweet sitting vignette to spice up a corner of a room in your house? Pascale challenged himself to fix up this chair and stool, and the results are a complementary pair of stylish seats he can enjoy using and looking at.
I finally had some free time, so I challenged myself to give these two a new look. I've had the chair in the garage for a while, but I have recently rescued the stool from being junked at work. They seemed to be the perfect fit for each other.
They both got stripped, sanded and ready for the final and most important step; upholstered. The fabric was bought from a local thrift store, it's striped grayish green raw silk and the faux-fur was purchased from IKEA. Reupholstering was definitely much easier than I expected. I did prepare myself by watching tutorial videos, and I made sure I had appropriate tools for the job. I had a left over piece of faux-fur, so i just laid it over the chair.
Tutorial videos and faux-fur make everything nice!
Thank you Pascale!
