Board games. Where do you keep yours? In our house, they teeter unsteadily in a big pile on the top shelf of our coat closet. Admittedly, this is not really a great place for them, especially when the time comes for the kids to grab one. A nice game cabinet would be ideal. A nice, colorful, unique and all-out fun game cabinet. Like this one.

Lori at Bleak 2 Unique certainly wasn't going for a subtle makeover when she came across this cabinet. She loved the lines and sturdiness of the piece but was looking for a bit more personality. Some bright yellow paint, a few old board games and a bucket of homemade decoupage later and she had a one-of-a-kind game cabinet. The front and top are plastered with play money while the sides are covered with specific board game parts and pieces.

Although this is not a makeover for the faint of heart, we think this piece sure would look neat in a playroom or game room.

Commercial Flour Sa...
Kudos for courage. I am sad for that beautiful, rich wood, sleek legs and simple doors. Those are my favorite pieces of furniture.
Some may call this "therapy," but I call it sadistic. What a way to treat a sideboard. (Maybe the perpetrator would say, "but it enjoyed it.")
I prefer this to a real train wreck, where there is often actual bodily injury and death.
I think the side says what the owner should.
I'm sad to see the pretty wood go, but I think the outcome is really fun and creative.
:(
I howled with laughter when I saw this. It's absolutely not what I would have done, no way and no how, but it is bold and imaginative. Wonderful, truly wonderful. [and I'm usually a 'keep the wood' kind of person...]
SORRY is right!!!!!!!!!!
Better suited for an Ikea piece. And, once again, the 'after' is shown in the yard. What gives???
This must be satire.
I agree..the wood was made into a beautiful classic piece of furniture. This would have been a fantastic redo for a particle board chest. don't be SORRY again...ask before you want do an after project.
No need to ask! THis project looks great. Wow So many negative folks who think they know what after results need to look like. Let's see your after projects. I'm sure there are plenty of boring after results.
Yikes ! Why does the before furniture look better than the after?
There is no place for this ugly mess.
B A D! :( Were they drunk the day they created this make-over? Ugly mess is right ^
Kill it. Kill it with fire.
Hmmmmmmm.....I get it...but....hmmmmm....
nooooo!!!
