Pretty fences are something I've spent a lot of time looking at lately. For many a new homeowner (including me), it has to take a backseat to more pressing issues. I long for the day when I don't cringe at my hastily erected "temporary" fence and can have something comparable to this DIY beauty.

Morgan from The Brick House never ceases to amaze us with her DIY skills. She's done it again with this wood slat fence.

Having lived in the house for nearly three years, she and her partner slowly replaced the mismatched fencing they inherited. She considers one of their DIY talents being demolition, even if it takes a self-described "ghetto" twist by using the bumper of their truck to knock-out an existing fence post!

One great thing about Morgan is that she wastes nothing. The wood from the old fence? Now chopped up into a pile of firewood, ready to go.
