We love a makeover as much as anyone. Perhaps we're a bit biased, but we think revamping of furniture for use in children's rooms provides the most dramatic makeover effect. The AFTER shot of this storage unit for a little boy's room doesn't disappoint. Jump below for the reveal...

How eye-popping is that glossy yellow with the kelly green painted backboard? The original piece offers a great combination of open and hidden storage, but the new paint treatment kicks it up several notches.

beautiful makeover! i love seeing ordinary pieces turned into great new, fun ones!
Is this displaying differently on my computer? To me it appears that they've painted over a beautifully grained wood, and made this piece look perfectly ordinary. I mean, didn't I just see this "after" at Target? No offence, it's perfectly nice looking. Just ordinary.
I was thinking the same thing, BlueLM.
Different strokes for different folks, but in my opinion, that was a perfectly beautiful piece of furniture until...*shaking head*

Okay, I'm not usually one to whine about people painting a piece of wooden furniture to make it fit better in their homes, but HEY! that was a pretty nice little cabinet... and now it looks like soulless yellow laminate.
