Perfect for a kid's room, we love how one Oregon blogger combined a thrifted stool, some red wool from Value Village and a felting tool to create a very magical mushroom. Find out how she did it and see the end results below the jump.

Blogger resurrection fern put the concept of upcycling into practice, taking a tulip-based stool with a stained and torn cover and making it whimsical and cute.
The steps are simple; remove the cushion, tack down red fabric over the top and felt on one-inch white circles. The entire process took about an hour.
Even though the mushroom is headed to another home, it looks perfectly natural in this sewing area. Would you let a mushroom grow in your house?

I want to see this smurf themed bathroom! :)
Cute, but wouldn't it have looked better had the base been painted or perhaps cleaned?
