I see a lot of interior transformations, but I'm a little obsessed with this one cottage renovation going on in Finland. So far it's comprised a series of teaser photos over the past couple of months, and I am just waiting for the final reveal. And waiting. And waiting. But now I can't stand it anymore, so I'm going to let you in on my exquisite pain.

Suki and her family are currently restoring a little cottage, transforming it into a simple and stylish retreat. It's just the kind of thing that's fun to watch unfold: an older, rustic space that gets a new and fresh life by its owners with a lot of work and not tons of money. It doesn't hurt that it's modern, Scandinavian and hits all my sweet spots. Yep, I just shivered a little bit.

Take a moment to appreciate the clever little touches, like this towel rack made from common copper pipe.

And another before and after view of the old stove in the kitchen, in its original state, then refinished:

Do you want me to go on? With pleasure. Here's their kid's bedroom, both raw and then wallpapered:

I have it on good authority they will finish the job this summer. Fingers crossed.

Thanks Suki!
