We've been sharing some amazing home hacks here on Apartment Therapy and it's only just the second week of February. Many times the obstacle to getting started is getting organized. Here's some inspiration from Cozy Farmhouse who organized her workspace with a few tools: a little time, a few containers from Goodwill and a list. Take a few tips from her, after the jump.
- Where will your workspace be? Sometimes all you need is a cozy chair or the end of the couch to get some knitting, crocheting or hand sewing done. Figure out how much space you need, permanently or temporarily.
- What do you need? The most frustrating part of any project is often finding that you don't have what you need when you're right in the middle of it. Make a list of the tools and materials you'll need.
- Where will your tools go? A tool box, a knitting basket, a sewing kit, a bucket. Whatever you use, keep your tools in one place. And PUT THEM BACK when you're done. That way you can find them when you need them next time. Another trick we've learned, whether it's organizing our knitting basket or our refrigerator or locating our keys in the morning: have a designated spot for everything. That way it's less likely to get lost.
- How long will this project take and how much time do I need to allot to it daily? Especially if it's the first time you're tackling something, give it more time than you think you'll need
