Last week, I had the unique opportunity to go behind the scenes of an HGTV television shoot at our friends Michele and Ryan Tansey's gorgeous (and newly renovated) home. You may remember the Tansey's amazing home and wedding that we wrote about last year!
Michele and Ryan (of Homestead Seattle) had a rough year, to say the least. Soon after Apartment Therapy's initial house tour, they experienced a devastating fire in the top floor of their home, which destroyed most of their lovely work and fine furniture pieces. Shortly afterwards, they lost both of their sweet dogs to cancer.
However, the Tanseys pulled themselves up by their boot straps, renovated the entire home, rescued an adorable pup named Jake and are ready to move forward. In a lovely twist of fate, HGTV took notice of their inspiring story and stopped by to shoot an episode at Michele and Ryan's home for their web series, "Home Diaries." The webisode will air this summer (we'll keep you posted). And in the meantime, be on the lookout for their brand new house tour, post-fire, this April.
