Think of it as a modern day equivalent of "George Washington Slept Here" - this is the bed chosen for the Breaking Dawn set where all those years of passionate longing culminate into an instantly infamous vampirexhuman love scene.

Refinery 29 shares the scoop that the bed is from MASH Studios PCH series and is being billed on the MASH Studios site as being from "The Honeymoon Scene" of the movie (which is opening today).
We've featured MASH Studios on Apartment Therapy in the past; they are doing really nice work on a consistent basis - we're happy if this brush with the Twilight universe brings some new fans to the brand, known for their use of sustainable materials and clean, creative designs.

yesssssss
I never comment on what I consider to be irrelevant posts, but I am beyond disappointed that AT is blogging about Twilight.
Trololol.
How's the weather up there on your high horse?
How's the build quality? In the book it breaks when . . . you know . . .
I wonder how sales of the bed will be affected! I'd like to see an AP post about that whole place. Very pretty!
i think the one they break is a different one with that special headboard (that's what breaks). i haven't seen this one before. they do move to a different room after the first night.
Oh gawd, is there no escaping this trite?!
Ugh, I agree with Anita83 and ebarrett3. This series needs to die already.
The "Twilight" saga sure is magic. What other series of books/films made first vampires and now sex unappealing and tedious??
Thanks AT. I needed a laugh.
Lol @ leapkate
"Twilight" needs to die, but I don't mind the post because I really like the bed!
*sigh*
@Kitalita: HA! Yes! Love poking the pretentious AT holier-than-thou readers...
The Twilight series seems to have that polarizing effect...people, if you already know you're not a fan of the movies, why click on the link?
I have seen the movie, and the rest of the house on Esme's Isle was a cool mix of tropical and modern. I especially loved the large wood framed swilve doors (not sure how else to describe them). Though I imagine they would be difficult to clean...
I personally love the idea of posts about furniture/design from movies. It doesn't really get discussed anywhere else, and it brings to light intersting companies (like the one above)!
I agree with: "I personally love the idea of posts about furniture/design from movies. It doesn't really get discussed anywhere else, and it brings to light interesting companies (like the one above)..." and would even include TV shows (except mad men, I think that's well covered.)
I di find it funny that the featured product is one that, apparently, breaks.
As much as it pains me to say... I actually like that bed.
Twihard here. Decor and home goods enthusiast here. I am happy to see this post on here, because as I was swooooooning during this scene in the movie, I was doing so because (a) its sexy, and (b) I love the bed. And really, people who beotch about Twilight being on here, loosen up and freaking relax already. It's a home decor website, it's not like a Sick Kids website squealing "OMG! EDWAAAAAARD!" LOL reeeeelax.

I hope you're right...
It's still cheaper than getting broken in on the Titanic, give you that.
... so, why would one want a nightstand that's all the way down there? >.>
ElizabethC: well said :)
Sometimes I have to remind myself to pay attention to the plot line in movies as I am focusing on the decor.
I would totally, like, camp out for three days to, like, buy that bed, but my parents wouldn't give me enough allowance.
Thanks Apartment Therapy for helping add a little more laughter in life, and I'm very serious. With a friend that has cancer that I just finished checking on, and then I saw this...I thought "why in the heck not go look at "the bed"." It is beautiful I must say.
I really don't care where vampires make love... this is a weird article.
Slow news day.
@nik111 None of the posts on this site are anything close to news. It's a decor site. This is the kind of stuff that goes on decor sites.
That bed is really gorgeous! But really Twilight is a teenybopper movie and it weirds me out when otherwise normal adults are clamoring to watch this twerpy teenager honeymoon in that bed, gross.
Sigh. Haters gonna hate.
Anyway, this bed is really beautiful. I don't think I like the low night stand though. I love the wood as shown, but does it come in other stains? It would be cool if it were darker.
Love, Twihard Designer :)
liked the books hate the movies. this is not the bed i pictured when reading the book. no im not a tween either but the story was addicting and a super fast read. considering this movie series is everywhere i'm not all that shocked to see this here. i do hate it when these things explode like this all the hype annoys me. But I do agree talking about movie set design and furniture is an great idea, its a pretty bed, doesnt fit into my personal space though.
