Haba Infant Toys

We've noticed that even the youngest infant loves to have his or her own toy. In searching for great infant toys, we were reminded of these wooden classics, by Haba. Natural, safe, sturdy and beautiful; these maple wood grasping toys are hard to resist.

The Haba Triangle, $7.95. We've seen this given at many a baby shower, and it's not hard to see why. Two multi-colored triangles are intertwined and held together with a red fabric rubber band, giving children a rattle that's more active than the usual rattle. Recommended for ages 6 months and up.

Haba's Scalari, $10.95, is a twisty, turny multi-colored fish with a semi-circle tail for easy grasping.

The ridges and bumps of the scales on the fish give children an interesting tactile experience and make some nice clacking sounds. Appropriate for ages 6 months and up.

Finally, there's Haba's Ballino, $8.95, a 3" ball that infants can grab and shake. What we like about this, however, is they'll enjoy watching it roll; roll it to them, roll it away from them – they'll be interested by the movement.

For ages 6 months and up.
