We're big fans of daybeds but it's not always easy to find stylish off-the-shelf daybed covers. So we were excited to learn this morning that Bemz, the Swedish company that sells reasonably priced slipcovers for many IKEA upholstered products, just added daybed covers to their line...
The covers are intended for the IKEA Sultan mattress but would fit most twin mattresses (but double check your own measurements!). The price seems to range from about $75 to $125 depending on the style and fabric finish. The covers come in lovely solid colors and fun patterns too. The Bemz price certainly compares to the $80 West Elm daybed covers but those are only available in 2 colors, white and flax.

I checked out Bemz slipcovers for IKEA TULSTA chairs. There was such a variety! Sadly, at an average of $150 it just seems too steep. That Is what I paid for the chair new with slipcover!

These are sized to fit European single beds - 90cm x 200 cm
That translates to 35.4" wide and 78.7" long.
American single/twin mattresses (including those sold at IKEA in America) which are used for most daybeds are 39" wide and 75" long. (Twin XL's are 39 wide and 80 long)
Actually, Bemz has both European and American bed size options available. For a US mattress, choose the 97 x 189 sizes, rather than the 90 x 800 or 120 x 200 versions.
