While the name may be unknown to you, Beni Ouarian rugs have been cropping up everywhere in shelter magazines and hip homes lately. With their simple geometric patterns, Beni Ouarian rugs are suitable for any kind of decor, from traditional to modern. While the rugs shown in these sumptuous rooms work beautifully, how would they look in a real home?
Hand woven by people of the Beni Ouarian tribe and other neighboring tribes in the mountains of Morocco, these wool rugs typically feature a black diamond pattern woven into a cream foreground. My main concern (apart from the cost) is that the dusty beige/off-white colors may end up just looking slightly grubby and bland. Perhaps the key is to balance the rugs with rich, inky colors elsewhere in the room?
What do you think of these rugs? Yea or nay?

What a coincidence! I just posted a room mash-up on my blog a few days ago with one of those rugs. I just loved it when I saw it. Didn't know I was right on trend when I composed it.
