Nutshell Review: Love it!
Full Review: Since moving into our new home, we've used Benjamin Moore's new zero-VOC primer and paint on both our walls and our floors. We love it and doubt we'll ever use anything else again. There's no odor at all, and it goes on smoothly and covers well -- and it dries in about an hour.

How many colors does this paint come in?
If it's like Aura, they can match anything, the geniuses at the Ben Moore place.
I've got one coat of this on the walls in my hallway. I'm really happy with it! They can make any color you want - I love picking the Benjamin Moore colors, just because they are so fabulous. It's great stuff.
The biggest complaint I've heard about zero VOC paints is much more fading than traditional paints. So after a few months, how are things looking for your test sample? :)
Well, the color fading may be true of other brands, but with Benjamin Moore's Water Borne Platform; Aura, Natura, Eco-Spec and Ben they use Color Lock technology. What does that mean to the end user?
It will not fade or rub off like other No-VOC counter parts! obviously Aura is more durable then Natura, you do give up a little scrub cycles. However, compare to other brands it is awesome.
Benjamin Morre has excellent colors; Historical, Affinity, Classic, Previewer and Pottery Barn collections. I found a company that will make any Benjamin moore Paint Color for you on a 20"x20" sample and send it to you for $7.99!
Yep, $7.99 instead of $20 a quart to try color.

Any further comments on the Natura? Thanks in advance. :)
I painted child's room with Benjamin Moore Natura ("fresh air"!!!)almost 2 months ago... Still smells very badly, don't know what to do.
I've heard some talk about it smelling --- what are the reviews on this?? Also, I have heard since it dries quickly it's easier to see brush marks and/or roller marks...any comments?
You are lucky you only painted one room. We painted the entire house almost a year ago, and it is still out gassing. The first few months it smelled of rotting fish, now it is less strong and has a chemical smell to it. To this day, I still exchange the air in the house with strong fans every morning for several hours. I can't get Benjamin Moore to answer my calls. I found many other unhappy Natura paint victims at:
http://www.dld123.com/q&a/index.php?cid=13746
Read all 17 pages. A note to any satisfied Natura customers, I suspect not all batches are faulty, because occasionally I read about someone who says their paint doesn't smell. Even our painter who works with high VOC paint commented on how strong the smell was 3 montns AFTER the paint job! He said even regular paint within 3 months has finished out gassing.
I too have been having bad smell. It's been two weeks now and it's still there. I have been airing out the room with a fan and still no progress. A Benjamin Moore representative came to my home and acknowledged that the room smelled "earthy". He wrote down the two batch numbers of the cans that I used and said he will have the lab investigate. I noticed the same smell on one of the cans. The rep called and said the lab did not find any smell and said they can compensate me for new primer (which he claims should cover the smell), paint (Aura), and supplies. But my concern is the smell (though the rep says it's safe). It's only going to be blocked and not eliminated and my newborn will be staying in that room and I don't know what kind of residuals the wall will be releasing. Suggestions are welcomed...
I also have a bad chemical paint smell from Benjamin Moore Natura paint. I painted my ceiling 6 weeks ago, and I still have to keep my bedroom window open 24/7. After the first coat smelled "bad" I waited a week and went to BM to ask why it smelled. The man behind the counter said there were no complaints or problems, and I was probably imagining it. Foolishly, I painted a second coat. How long before the smell goes away? Perhaps this is why I have constant headaches? I question the safety of this paint.
Oh wow, I wish I had seen these reviews. These people are not kooks -- I'm a 9 month pregnant mom and also thought this would be the safe option for the nursery. The smell is much, much stronger than Aura, which I've previously used and loved. Natura is not "virtually odorless" at all, but smells exactly like regular paint. Since having the room painted, we've had to keep its windows open (not convenient -- we live in a ranch and it's cold in Ohio) and a towel under the door, but whole house still smells like wet paint. It's nauseating. I'm panicked because we have nowhere else to put the baby or his things. This is the last thing we need to worry about right now! Shame on you Benjamin Moore!!
Today we are finally painting the closet in our bedroom (a 4x9 walk in that I share w/ my husband) for my Mothers Day present. We bought a gallon of Natura from the Ben Moore store this morning.
I've painted with all kinds of no and low VOC paints, milk paint etc and NEVER have I ever had a worse experience than this. The paint does not cover well and every time you go back over it with the roller it pulls the paint off. Terrible terrible terrible.
Tomorrow we'll have to get another gallon of paint from somewhere else and spend Mothers Day painting again. Natura really STINKS!
I would love to hear personally from those who have had issues with the Natura paint. My experience has been a nightmare. A new $30,000 building cannot be used due to the toxic nature of the paint. Please email me directly at szukidavis@aol.com as I want to get more information, possibly for an article that I'm working on. Thank you in advance.
My husband is an experience painter and painted a house in the summer of 2010. The couple were expecting a baby and they bought Benjamin Moore Natura paint. They did not complain of any odor, but they just informed us that the paint is starting to chip only 1 and half approx later. In the 20+ years, he has never received a call back. That is why I decided to do a little dedective work of my own. I see that there was a recall around that time - has anyone noticed this chipping problem also? Many thanks!
