We think good bathroom towels, regardless of price, are a fully justified and simple luxury. You use them every day and beyond a delightful appearance, you want them to WORK, meaning take the water off your body, warm you up and softly caress your skin.

We've blogged a lot of towels over the past few years, and we've decided to try and pull together all of our posts and get some clarity on the question of which bathroom towels you should actually go looking for when the time comes...

>> Embrace Towels by Christy: 48% cotton, 30% micro modal, 22% silk in the pile. "Softer than anything we've ever purchased and with richer colors, due to the silk."

>> Milagro Towels by Matouk: The finest Egyptian "zero-twist" yarns. "Egyptian cotton that is so soft and absorbent you will smile (and your guests will be jealous)."

>> Paradigm Bath Towels from Restoration Hardware: 100% cotton terry toweling from Turkey. "Incredible with soft rich hues and a pile so thick, toweling off after a shower is nothing but a joy."

>> Hotel Collection Towels from Macy's: 100% combed cotton. "Thick and lush, soft, absorbent, and durable."

>> Bamboo Bath Towels from CB2: 65% bamboo rayon, 35% Egyptian cotton. "They're soft, durable and so far they've withstood the wash better than their cotton predecessors."

>> FairTrade Towels by Christy: 100% Fairtrade certified cotton.
