That reclaimed wood table is beautiful. Does any one know if the wood (reclaimed Indian railroad ties) is treated with toxic chemicals? Is there a way to find out?
I've got the peekaboo console at home and love it - my wife and I actually used it as part of our wedding ceremony. To add a few more items to the fray, my current home wish list includes the sidecar dining table, graph desk, and either the dempsey or scan lounge chair. Very much looking forward to the South Beach store opening in January! :-)
I was a member of the Illinois entry to the Solar Decathlon and CB2 generously donated all the furniture, tableware and other decorations for use within our home. Their products fit perfectly within our simple and modern home that maintained a historical reference. We used a number of products from the re-claimed wood table to the slim chairs, bedding, pillows, brass strips, dishes and more. See images here: www.solardecathlon.uiuc.edu
Love the wood table and wine glasses, use the Modern dinnerware daily.
I am getting the tray table for Christmas. YAY!!!
The "Darjeeling" reclaimed wood table is great and the wood comes untreated. It needs lots of beeswax, but is a really special piece that I am quite happy I bought. It will stain so coasters and placemats are necessary, unless you want a distressed look.
FYI for those in Chicago - the CB2 on Lincoln Ave is going to close sometime early next year. Story I heard is they couldn't come to an agreement on their lease.
We have the beautiful rug shown in the first picture. It looks like a painting on the floor. My husband and I registered for a lot of serving pieces from CB2. They are all very clean and white. We love them!
As much as I want to like those clear acrylic tables, they remind me of retail display stands, but giant-sized; like something you'd see on QVC holding up a tube of moisturizer.
went to CB2 for the first time last week and while i loved everything, I think their glass is WAAAAYYY to thin. I felt like I was going to crush everything I touched. The white dinnerware is great though.
looove the fu dogs. I have them on either end of our hearth and they look like they're guarding our fireplace. And those bamboo towels are by far the softest and loveliest I've ever used. We also have the pony chair, which is the breuer-like chair in the first pic, and I highly recommend those too.
I have always loved the Orbit armchair, but I'd also have to add the "oversized equator pendant lamp" to the list. It was the first light we placed in our new home, replacing the outdated 80's chandelier over the dining table. Everyone who visits us always asks us about it and wants to know where we got it. I think it's because it's such a simple statement piece, and at $200 I consider it a relative bargain considering its size.
They have a really nice bar height dining table I've had my eye on. The are really great for apartments because the scale is so perfect. I also have their arc lamp on my radar, too. It's only $199!
I love the CB2 Formosa table! See it in action in my AT House Call: http://www.apartmenttherapy.com/ny/house-tours/isabellas-chic-elegant-in-inwood-house-call-102913
