We spent the beautiful weekend downstate acquiring plants, flowers, apples and pumpkins. This is a favorite October excursion, including a colorful drive down and shopping for not-so expensive fresh plants and produce. As for those who get their pumpkins in the city, does anyone have good resources? We'd like to know your favorite Chicago spots this time of year...

Turns out my favorite is Tanner's like in your picture! Not so close to Chicago though... I used to live in Peoria so that's why I went. Could make for a nice weekend drive this time of year though, the trees are gorgeous in the Illinois River Valley.
