Last week we looked at wall mount coat racks and hooks, which can be great for small spaces. If you have the floor space, a standing coat rack may be your best option. There are a plenty out there on the market so we sorted through them all and came up with the ten best.
1. Blu Dot Splash Coat Rack from Design Public $279
2. Curves Coat Rack from Chiasso $98
3. Sidse Werner Coat Tree from Hive $1,211
4. Spider Coat Rack from CB2 $99.95
5. Twist Coatrack from DWR $467.50
6. Coat Rack with Umbrella Holder from Target $52.29
7. Safco Mode Wood Costumer With Umbrella Rack from Wayfair $100.70
8. Metal Tipped Coat Rack from West Elm $159.99
9. TJUSIG from IKEA $49.99

Sprout Side Table
Does anyone have experience with any of these coat trees? I always have trouble with poorly made coat trees. When the weight isn't balanced, they tip over, or at least threaten to. I'd like to be able to put one coat on the coat tree without it attacking me in response.
I'm a big fan of the all in coat rack/umbrella holder. And with multiple levels of the rack, you can easily put a hat above your coat, as to not damage it.
I like The Spider. Great color and a title to boot. Does anyone know of a coat rack with hangers both at the top and mid-way down? I'd like for my kids to hang up their coats independently, and kid-height hangers would be a good addition to a quality coat rack.
We have been using the TJUSIG coat rack from Ikea for about 3 months. I have three kids under 8 years old and it has not tipped over once. There are hooks midway down (at the bottom of the black portion) where the kids hang their backpacks and coats. Even my three year old can reach these hooks. For the price it is a great modern looking coat rack.
Several of these are quite cool looking, almost sculptural. Sadly, no floor space for one in my house. It's either get a wall rack behind the door or walk through to the closet.
Pier 1 also has some cute ones.
That's great to hear about the TJUSIG! So cheap and yet so practical!
