We're unabashed booklovers. We're lucky that our friends and family are, too, because honestly, if we have to stand in line in a store while doing our last-minute holiday shopping, we'd rather be in line in a bookstore than any other store. If you're in the same boat, here are some of our favorite design-ish books from the last year or so:
California Romantica by Diane Keaton and D.J. Waldie (see some images here)
The Way We Live: An Ultimate Treasury for Global Design Inspiration by Stafford Cliff
The Way We Live In the City by Stafford Cliff
Simply Contemporary by Solvi dos Santos
Restoration Home by Mark and Sally Bailey
Bohemian Modern: Living in Silver Lake by Barbara Bestor
The Principles of Uncertainty by Maira Kalman (not really design, but still...)

Amy Butler's Midwest Modern: A Fresh Design Spirit for the Modern Lifestyle has been one of my surprising bookstore finds recently.
