White Enamel Four-P...
So many great blogs. It was hard to make a decision because there are several listed that are my favorite blogs. Keep up the great work bloggers!! Katharine
I am glad to see Vintage Revivals on this list, I found her blog today after watching The Nate Burkus Show and was blown away by the projects!
I'm glad we can vote for more than one blog. I have more than one favorite.
Little Green Notebook has been my favorite for years, Jenny gets my vote but I am happy to see so many other diy blogs to take a look at. Time to find a project to do next weekend.
I submitted two of my favorite blogs > "Pink Toes and Power Tools" and "Lady Goats"
They both give a newby power to build stuff... ;-)
"Groeten uit Amsterdam"
Palma
To call this "Best" DIY blog would imply there are judges. This is really just an account of the blogs with the most followers who vote. There are some great blogs on here that don't have tons of followers. Congrats to everyone on the list.
The Improvised Life defies categorization, and that is part of what makes it so great. No matter how much I try to pare down my inbox, I can never unsubscribe - I find it essential morning reading - morning inspiration, really. GO IMPROVISED LIFE!
So excited to see Bower Power on here. I love Katie's projects, lots of pictures of her adorable son, and bacon references.
I love Bower Power, too. But I wouldn't exactly call it a DIY blog. I think it fits more into Family blog, or home design.
Lots of great Blogs, sorry to all the others but I had to vote for aka Design! I love their blog!!
How long does it take for a nomination to be uploaded? I nominated my favorite blog BrightNest nearly 24 hrs ago!
Young House Love was on the list yesterday in the AM, and has been gone ever since. What happened?
I don't think you can be nominated if you are a past winner. That might be why YHL is missing.
listing these in alpha order would certainly be helpful!!
Yay Bower Power! And Lizabethy, Katie is <B>awesome and has tons of DIY content - the fact that she's great friends with YHL is just a bonus!
So honored to be nominated and voted for. We really put our heart and soul into our DIY home projects and our blog, and it feels so good to know that people are enjoying it enough to vote. Thanks for selecting Old Town Home! I see a few of our blogger friends who also have some great DIY blogs (blood, sweat, and tears included), so we'll surely be voting for them.
where is Young House Love?
So how do you vote?!
where is young house love? and colour me happy? you just covered Maria a month or so ago.
I am glad to see House Tweaking and 320 Sycamore. Both are great blogs and are two of my favorites!
Had to vote for The Real Housewives of Buck County. They actually update their blog regularly, with relevant info. A lot of these other blogs dont update often and some of the bigger ones are so busy talking about their celebrity blog status and conventions etc that they're not posting about the things that got them big in the first place. Just my two cents. If you haven't read them yet you should.
To be clear, I have nothing against Bower Power, and I'm sure she's awesome, but her blog is definitely a home- or family-focused blog, not DIY. In addition, it wouldn't have NEARLY the following it does without regular features on YHL. I'm sad that blogs like A Beautiful Mess toil (wonderfully) in relative obscurity while what is really a fun and cute family blog gets readjusted in the blog world as a DIY blog because it's closely tied with an actual DIY-focused blog.
Sorry for the poorly-chosen wording (ah, internet communication)! Her blog is not for me, but I do think it's great.
My votes don't seem to be counted. When do the numbers change? The question has been posted before. Is anyone going to answer?
Love DIY on the Cheap, love, love the blog. Look at it everyday!
I was just going throught the list because i didnt really know any of the blogs. Been stuck on the Ana White blog for the past two days. Now looking up woodworking classes, so i can finally build some MCM reproductions of stuff that I am always seeing on this site. She gets my vote! Thanks AT for directing me to her. Hearted.
PINKTOESANDPOWERTOOLS is GREAT!!!
Check out the current top vote getters "frozen yogurt tampon cure for a yeast infection" if you have a great sense of humour or a yeast infection. :)
Hey Tricia Rose.. if you sign up for Apartment Therapy and then log in... you will notice vote buttons beside each of the nominations. I personally adore A Beautiful Mess but the comments have me very interested in looking over The Real Housewives of Buck County, Improvised Life, Vintage Revivals etc! Thanks :) GL to all!

I wanted to vote for Young House Love here too. Can't find it.
YHL won last year. Therefore the blog is ineligible this year.
I went with Old Town Home. They're pretty new, but they've written some awesome stuff. They had a home tour a little while back, too: http://www.apartmenttherapy.com/alex-and-wendys-160703
I really feel that A Beautiful Mess deserves it! They are so hard working and obsessed with their job in a good way! Their ideas have helped me think outside of the box and be more creative. They help me with my newlywed pad, cooking for my husband, and even think of more ideas for my wedding just by posting things on their blog! Plus they are my age, so it's easy to relate to them on so many levels.
I vote A Beautiful Mess!
I nominated a couple of my favorite blogs yesterday. How long does it take for them to go up so I can vote?
Want to cast a vote for "Lovely Indeed". . . can't find it in the list above, please count it from here, if you will !!
Love "A Beautiful Mess", it's one of my daily reads, I also love "MerryPad", she does amazing DIY.
Love KitschyKitty!! Alana rocks it!!
Just dropped by to vote for Old Town Home. If you've never been to their blog, be sure to check it out. They are one of my daily reads and are always posting really cool and interesting stuff that they've done or things that work in any house. I also like that they are DC area. They cover anything from major repair work to holiday crafts, they tend to do it all and all themselves, true diyers. They're a couple and they both write so they have a great appeal to many types of readers, and their pets are cute too. It also seems like they respond to almost every comment. If you haven't paid them a visit be sure to check them out.
I don't know that they are really a DIY blog, but you must check out "Pinterest You Are Drunk". It is hilarious. I voted for them anyway.
Centsational Girl is my hands down favorite. Such amazing taste, so well written and photographed. Go Kate.
Each year I look at the other sites on the list and find some fabulous new blogs to make part of my regular reading routine. I know Kitschy Kitten isn't one of the big ones, but I get so much inspiration from AT and the blogs mentioned here that it's just fun to see the traffic come in and be part of this big sharing exercise.
Best wishes to everyone!
Alana

Two of my favorite DIYs of all time are on Bubby and Bean, a vinyl record dessert stand and honey favors. Really glad to see they were nominated.
I am absolutely honored to have been nominated and to be apart of this fabulous list!! It is so fun to 'meet' some new blogs I haven't read before.....
Thank you:-)

Wow, I'm so honored to be a part of such a great list!! Thanks for those who voted for me - how fun!
Uh...where's Young House Love!? I signed up just to vote for them and they were high on the list and now they're gone!
Bower Power couldn't possibly be more DIY if she tried, unless that means absolutely no posts that don't have instructions attached. Seriously, I found every.single.site that I follow by linking from another site...isn't that the point of a "blog roll"? To generously drive your traffic to other sites that you admire? I hardly see that as a measure of worthiness. There are plenty of blogs that "aren't for me", but I would never call them out here. Good Luck, Katie B.
Oh shucks...to think I was included in this great list of blogs!! So honored, and a bit in awe. Wait...I have to go sit now.
Tealandlime is the best site.
It has just the right information to start a project.
Check out DIYonthecheap.com It's great.
Thank you SO much for the nomination and votes! We're so honored that our readers would think of us for something this awesome :). This is a really great group of blogs and I can't wait to check out allogden those that I haven't yet visited!
Melissa
Bubby and Bean
Holy COW! How in the world is this real?! Vintage Revivals is in the top 6?! I have the best readers in the WORLD!
Love your guts
mandi
Also in the voting ballot Revivals is misspelled! If you could fix it that would be great!
Wow, I am just so thrilled to be here, to be nominated, and to be a finalist. This is such an honor for me, thank you to all the kind people who voted for CG - and I know I speak for many when I say thank you Apartment Therapy for introducing all of us to some pretty amazing blogs - it's a fantastic community out there - you all inspire us so much.
Best of luck to all the finalists,
Kate
I'm also wondering where Young House Love is... there's some great blogs listed here, but I would have definitely voted for YHL.
Funky Junk Interiors here... thanking so many of you for voting! Wow!
Congrats to the finalists... LOVE THEM ALL! This is sooo hard!
Donna - Funky Junk Interiors
DIY bloggers provide such huge value and inspiration to me - at the most basic level, helping me improve our lifestyle and save money. Every blog listed here has my respect and appreciation!
And to you who nominated and voted for me, it's very encouraging and I am so thankful! You have made my day! Thank you!
Ana White
Yeah 'A Beautiful Mess'!! you rock miss elsie cake!
I know, I know, I felt bad for my snippy comment after I posted it. I do wish Apartment Therapy allowed you to delete comments for when you're having a bad day and blurt out something uncharitable. Aaaaand I'm moving on, now.
How can I tell if my vote in the second round of the DIY category went through? Each time I login and return to the voting page, it still says 'login' at the top of the page. In the first round, there was a 'voted' checkbox but I don't see that for the 2nd round.
Capable Father got my vote he is the stay at home dad of 9 children and an awesome artist to boot!
Congrats to all the diy bloggers but i gotta say, A Beautiful Mess all the way!!!!, I Love this blog congrats elsie, you inspire me everyday, you have the bestblog ever!!!
I've only voted in two categories for the Finals and then had a problem with the rest ??? Despite this, there is a great list on the nominations and comments to peruse the many favourites that I've never seen before.
Personally, thank God there is no Young House Love!
I love Katie Bower too!!!! Go Katie!! Go!!! I hope she wins... She inspires me a lot!!! On how to n why n what to do>> she makes a lot of sence!! Makes a lot of is smile!! N save those moolahs as she says!! Hope she truly n really wins!!!!

I'm a bit confused as to the voting - it says click to vote in category and yet there is no way to vote - Please help!
