Best Kids Parties: Archery

My Party

Name: Emily (8)
Location: Minnesota

For Emily's birthday this year, we did all things archery. Not Robin Hood, Merida or William Tell, as I'd originally thought when Emily chose her theme- just archery. We bought the girls bows and arrows at a local craft fair early in the summer and they loved them so much that they wanted to make and give away a set to every guest. Emily's grandfather in Singapore is an archery coach and we had him (and grandma!) plan along with us by designing quivers for the kids and games for the day itself. What a treat to involve her grandparents in her birthday party from so far away - it's the next best thing to actually having them be there with us!

Thanks LiEr! Readers, see much more on Ikat Bag including how the bows, arrows and quivers were made.
