Amy put together an adorable party for her 2-year-old daughter and friends. She shares: Every year when I plan a party for my kids, I always tell myself, "just cake and ice cream this year." But every time a birthday rolls around, I can't stop thinking about a cute theme to pull it all together. For my daughter's 2nd Birthday, I planned a Bookworm party.

I ordered old school library cards from eBay, which also came with pockets and I filled out each card as an invitation using an old-school date stamp. We had "grown up food on the table," but for the kids, I packed a brown bag lunch for each of them. The cupcakes were designed to be apples with worms! The decorations were very simple and I just used books on the table, pencils in glasses, apples and my left over library cards and date stamp. I found this quote, "Life is made up of stories. You are an important part of mine " and I put it on a bookmark, which was the party favor.

Finally, I should probably admit that my inspiration came from a smocked dress that I got for my daughter several months before her birthday. I knew it would make an adorable birthday dress, I just had to figure out a way to make it all come together!

Thanks, Amy! Readers, see more of this fun party at Life Happens.
