Best Kids Parties: Carnival

My Party

Name: Cooper (5) and Emmi (2)
Location: Castlegar, BC Canada

I love my kids and I love being creative, so parties are one of my favorite things!!
I wanted something fun and bright for 2 of my 3 babes, whose birthdays are just one day (& 3 years) apart. So what could be more fun than a carnival themed party.......nothing!

All of the decorations were made by myself and best friend, Tammy. We are both photographers, and together have a newborn photography prop business called Pink Poppy.

I went to the local fabric store to make the canopy for the ceiling. I knew I wanted something that would make a statement.....it was totally worth it!!! Vintage inspired candies & treats were purchased at a candy shop in Fernie, BC. My sister (who has since passed away from cancer.....missing her so), had her own cake business and helped with the fabulous cakes. She was so sick that I ended up coming up with the ideas to finish them, my favorite being the gumball cake

The food was kept simple, hotdogs, salads, veggies and chips! Pinterest is an amazing resource for everyone out there. The options are endless......be inspired by others, not overwhelmed, or feel like you have to compete, just enjoy the memories you are making along the way! This party is really special to me, since it's the last that my sister and I will ever share together, with our kids.
