We held a Chinese New Year party at my art studio (Early Masters). It was lots of fun with guests beading their own 'friendship' bracelets in red and gold with a Chinese Dragon symbol.

There was a projected movie upstairs followed by Chinese food afterwards. I made a vanilla cake with red fondant icing and painted on it with edible gold. Treat bags were take-out containers from our local Chinese restaurant (who also supplied us with our dinner). They contained lucky orange, gold covered chocolate money in chinese, Hello Kitty envelops, and Chinese fans.

Thanks Shelley!
