Best Kids Parties: Dance Party

My Party

Name: Dean, 2
Location: Nashville, TN

Dean, my youngest, turned two in April. Like most two year olds, he loooooves to dance. We figured it only made sense to give him a dance party for his birthday celebration!

We strung up a silver foil fringe curtain across the garage door, and I made a sign that I thought looked sort of disco-esque. We strung little disco ball Christmas ornaments across the front of the food table.

We ate disco ball cupcakes, microphone cake pops, veggies and disco dip, cha cha chips and salsa, and pretzel drumsticks, with some limbo lemonade and tango tea to drink. For activities, we dragged my dad's ancient, gigantic big screen TV out of our basement (where we ostensibly use it while we "exercise"), and we played "Just Dance!" and "Glee Karaoke" on the Wii. Favors were echo microphones from the Target dollar bin. We had a silly, great time, and no one danced more than Dean.

Thanks, Emily! Readers, see more over at Smarty Parties...
