Name: Eva (3)
Location: New York, NY
Eva decided she wanted a Flower Party for her 3rd birthday. She and her friends drank from flower straws and ate fruit cups protected with flowered "3" covers (if you turn it around it's an "E").
Each child planted a flower in their own personalized flower pot that they took home to take care of. They had an amazing time filling their pots with dirt, choosing their flowers and then watering them with the hippo watering can. Uncle Zach made big flower balloons for each of the children (and a few puppies for some of the boys). Eva got to wear a birthday crown made from lace that belonged to her great-grandmother. It was a flower-tastic day!

Super cute party. Question with the pot plants, Did you wait till the very end for this? Did parents mind the messy hands or was there access to wash them? Just wondering how other parents handled it???
The kids planted the flowers in the beginning. I came fully stocked with brand new aprons, paper towels and wipes. I think one kid used an apron and everything else went untouched!
The kids are 3 so each was helped by a parent (or me). I had a (new) small plastic garbage can filled with dirt and a few trowels. The dirt that got on the kids basically brushed right off. Also, it was very important to keep the watering can off to the side otherwise everything would have been mud.
The kids did it as they arrived at the party so there really was never more than 3 kids planting at any time.
Nice ty for the info. Super fun idea for a party!
This is a great article with wonderful ideas!
