To be honest, this was the moment I had been waiting for for a year. We had fingers crossed to have nice weather at the end of May, to be able to celebrate Aylin's first birthday with a garden party.
The theme was an extension of her nursery: farm animals. And the color of preference was aqua. We decorated the trees with pom poms, and the gazebo with aqua tulles. Finger foods were served along with vodka-lemonade and sangria to drink.
When the time came for cake, Aylin made a surprise for the guests, and arrived in a pink bunny custume, in perfect harmony with her first birthday cake. She celebrated her year of so many firsts by digging into her well deserved cupcake.
