Our youngest turned three and invited a couple of boys over to celebrate his birthday. Our kids love balloons and something simple like bouncing them around can entertain them beautifully. We decided to make balloons and the colours blue and green the theme for the party.
We blew up about 80 balloons and had them float to the ceiling. It was a simple gathering, but by coordinating colours it came out beautifully. Even the invites had blue and green polka dots scattered all over them.
The boys played before we had a slice of cake topped with paper balloons. Parents had drinks and nibbled on some healthy snacks. Gift bags were stamped with the recipients name and a balloon attached.

The cake is so simple and sweet. I like it!
I like the simplicity of this. And love the balloons attached to the gift bags, might have to steal that idea. We always do balloons as main decoration for each of our son's birthday parties. He loves them so much, we figure, why not? Inexpensive, not much fuss and makes anything festive. We'll be doing the same with the new baby's parties, probably.
I love this party! It's simple yet festive. I wish I was invited : ]
