Any hobby or interest is fair game for a party theme as Orna shows with Zoey's sweet party: My two year old daughter is obsessed with helicopters. As I'm sure you can imagine, there are not very many girly or cute helicopters to choose from so we had to make them ourselves.
Thankfully I had a lot of help from Celestial Creations (better known as Auntie Celeste & Uncle Richard) who stayed up until the wee hours creating our vision of clouds and helicopters throughout the house. We did this by painting wooden helicopters from Michael's, putting together Martha Stewart Pom Poms also from Michael's, blowing up cloud balloons and scattering toy helicopters anywhere you looked.
Auntie Celeste took things a step farther by purchasing plates and banners and hand-crafting the party hats with Zoey's invitation design. The invite was brilliantly designed by Mike Lohr. We even served helicopter shaped peanut butter and jelly sandwiches which were a hit with the under 5 crowd. The goodie bags were cloud boxes from Oriental Trading Co. filled with all things helicopter in a "Check Out" area, which the kids loved. This party definitely proved that little girls don't need to stick to just princess parties to be completely girly and adorable.
Indeed! Thanks Orna!
