We hosted my son, Julien's, first birthday party with a *James Bond, 001* theme because he is enthralled with gadgets, cell phones and keys.
Tired of animals, automobiles and blue gingham for baby boys, we wanted to put a twist on what is typically an *adult party theme* and convert it to our little secret agent's birthday party: James Bond, Double-O-1 Birthday. I can't help but think his sugary-sweet smile is hiding something!
My company, Step Brightly, created all of the printed design work: invitations, address labels, thank you notes, as well as the food labels, background flourishes and flair.
For our intimate gathering of close friends and family, we worked with Joellyn, from My Soirees and Sweets, to create a *Double-O-1* themed dessert table with a two-tiered cake and a smash cake. We also had "Casino Cookies" black and red cookies shaped like playing cards suits.
Eclectic over-sized martini glasses were filled with red gumballs and red hots for "The Spy Who Loved Sweets" to take home as favors. For the parents, we created a belly-band around a new set of traditional bicycle playing cards which were "From Julien with Love".
We added some more James Bond movie references to the adult drinks with "Goldfinger Margaritas, Shaken, Not Stirred" and "Die Another Day Red" and a "You Only Live Twice White." Overall it was a fun, yum and unique time for all!

Love it! Great job!
Thank you for sharing our super fun Double-oh-one party Carrie and Apartment Therapy! We had such a memorable day. All the hard work was paid off in spade when Julien ate his first piece of birthday cake. *Ate* being more like *smashed and smooshed* into his mouth.
Hope this inspires others!
