Best Kids Parties: Lumberjacks & Jills

My Party

Names: Baxter (1) & Tallulah (3)
Location: Austin, TX

How does one create a Little Lumberjacks and Jills birthday party? I'm here to tell you that you can't run down to the local Party Pig and pick up supplies. Oh no. You have to put on your crafty hat and make your own.

I thought a lumberjack party was the perfect unisex theme for my kids' recent party. We served a lumberjack breakfast (pancakes with maple syrup ice cream and candied bacon crumbles in place of cupcakes. Goodie bags were mini paper bag log cabins with pancake mix inside. I made centerpieces of moss, logs and axes along with custom red buffalo plaid party hats.

Thanks Jennifer! Readers, see many more photos of this fun party (especially the cardboard log cabin playhouse!) here and check out Jennifer's blog posts (here, here and here) on Naughty Secretary Club for more details.
