Name: Maddie (9)
Location: New York, NY
I threw a "Maddie-licious" party for my daughter's 9th birthday. I used the balloon lollipop idea from Parents.com and went from there -- balloon candies, mailing tube peppermint sticks and giant kisses made from foil.
The giant candy made up the Gumball Obstacle Course with kids carrying large gumballs on spoons. They also played Lifesaver Pass and Pixie Stix Drop. I made the candy button punch box out of poster board, tissue paper and paper bags. Each child was asked a candy-themed trivia question. S/he then got to punch a dot and claim a prize.
We saved the "candy bar" until the end where everyone got to fill up their party bag with all the sweets and treats they wanted.
