Best Kids Parties: Mustaches, Milk & Cookies

My Party

Name: Aiden, 3
Location: Forest Hills, NY

Much to my delight, Aiden requested a mustache party! It's been done to death, but I haven't done it yet and I was just happy he didn't request a character party (Diego, Dora, Thomas...etc.)

Aiden chose the aqua from Party City (officially Caribbean blue) and I chose the black and white to go with it. The milk and cookies part of it was because Aiden loooves milk, obviously loves cookies, and frankly, we had the glass bottles from a previous party.

I made the invitations in Photoshop and we did a lot of DIYs like the table runner, centerpieces, photo props, streamer background, mustache garlands, and our take on a photobooth.

We decided to keep it low-key(ish) with $1 wooden frames from Michaels that the kids got to decorate with foam shapes and pom-poms. They each had a little cup with glue in it because Aiden always loves to have his own stuff.

Then we had pizza from a local store and an aqua cake with a mustache on it from Martha's Country Bakery (it was seven layers of deliciousness).

Aiden was grinning ear to ear the entire time and it still talking about it! Success!

Thanks, Gilit!
