Name: Jack, 2
Location: La Jolla, CA
When my son Jack turned 2, we threw him a party at a lakefront clubhouse. I love the idea of a nautical themed party because the colors are bright and happy and the decorations are easy to pull together.
I chose to make a festive homemade "smash cake" with cute bunting for my son to dig into, and a cupcake tower with nautical fondant toppers for the guests. We served an all-American lunch of jumbo hot dogs and potato salad served on tableware in our color scheme of turquoise, bright red, and cobalt. I loved the custom soda labels wrapped around red, white, and blue Jones' soda. I was so happy I could pull-off an outdoor nautical party in the middle of February!
You can see more of this party over at Devon's blog, The Jack Chronicles.
Thanks, Devon!

Jack's birthday party was perfect. The decorations were simple but you were able to match them together to create a great nautical feeling at the clubhouse. The smash cake was fun to watch Jack attempt to eat it. Job well done!!
I absolutely LOVE this theme!! You can tell you put so much effort into it...everything is so perfectly coordinated, organized, and fun! I think I already mentioned it, but I might just have to steal this idea!! ;-)))
So cute! I love this theme.
