Jen recreated the fun of an old school carnival which inspired both the decor and the activities. She shares: For our daughter's 1st birthday party, we went with an old school carnival theme. Our color scheme was red, turquoise and pale pink. We tired to make everything by hand. It was truly a d.i.y party.
We made everything from the quilted table runners, the bunting flags, the cupcake toppers, the pinwheels, the yarn balls, etc... It was so fun getting ready for this party. We really wanted it to be a day that was filled with fun and laughter.
We had carnival games set up around the park like ring toss and knock the milk cans down. We also had a photobooth set up. Everyone that came got to take silly photos using clown noses, handmade party hards and funny props. It made for some fabulous pictures and lots of treasured memories!
Thanks Jen! Readers, want to see more? Check out the party in full at Jen Loves Kev and be sure to check out the fun photobooth pics.

Shaw's Original Fir...
Love it. When I saw the picture of the hats the first thing I thought was, "That must have been SO MUCH FUN to make those!" That's what a birthday party should be about. Beautiful :)
Lovely party!
