Best Kids Parties: Orange & Yellow

My Party

Name: Clementine (1)
Location: Port Morris, NJ

Clementine's first birthday had an orange and yellow theme in her honor. It was celebrated at Nan and Pappy's backyard pool and we had perfect weather.

We made tissue pom-poms and flags to hang and used a giant balloon hung out front for guests to see. Homemade mint lemonade was hand-squeezed in a vintage juicer and we used mint from Pappy's garden.

Snacks included rainbow veggies and hummus, grapes, carrots and bunny crackers for the kids. We got orange stripey straws and polka dot snack cups from Shop Sweet Lulu. Guests were family, cousins and family friends. The girls splashed in the pool with the grandparents to cool off. Sunflowers sat on the table next to the kiddie pool, under the shade of umbrellas.

Clementine smashed her own little (healthy) carrot and yogurt cake after we sang happy birthday and the rest of us enjoyed an ice cream cake from local favorite Cliff's (where Clementine's dad worked in high school).

Thanks Jeanne! Readers, see more of Clementine's party at Domesticspace.
